Speech of the Minister of Technical and Vocational Education

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Praise be to Allah, and may blessings and peace be upon our Prophet Muhammad and his family and companions, and may peace and blessings be upon him.

A blessed and sincere greeting from Allah,

In line with the changing times, industrial revolutions, and digital transformation, and to keep pace with development, it has become imperative for us to develop the education system in the country, especially technical and vocational education. Its importance crystallizes in meeting the needs of the labor market, in addition to its role in achieving scientific and technical advancement, considering it a primary source for preparing skilled labor required by the state.

We affirm that the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education of the Libyan Government places great importance on developing technical and vocational education in both quantity and quality as a supreme goal of an ambitious strategy to develop education and improve its outcomes. We also emphasize that all state industrial and production institutions, whether governmental or private, must cooperate and coordinate with the Ministry of Technical and Vocational Education. This cooperation is essential to improve the standards of living and services in society by providing opportunities to develop skills and expertise in technical and vocational fields. We must also work to expand the base of knowledge and technology and qualify youth to participate and contribute to the country’s development and to achieve social and economic stability through the enhancement and support of technical and vocational education.
