Al-Zawiya College of Science and Technology Shines on National Information Technology Day

As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen its scientific and community presence, and to reaffirm its role in supporting innovation and technological development, the College of Science and Technology – Al-Zawiya responded to the official invitation from the Faculty of Information Technology at Wadi Al-Shati University to participate in the National Information Technology Day event. The event was held at the Independence Hall of Wadi Al-Shati University, attended by several colleges, academic figures, and technology and IT professionals.

◾ The college was represented at this prestigious scientific forum by the acting dean, Professor Abualqasim Abusaad, and Mr. Saeed Omar, Head of the General Department, alongside a select group of college students who delivered outstanding contributions characterized by innovative technical projects and scientific presentations. These reflected a high level of knowledge and advanced skills in programming, digital transformation, and technological innovation. Their contributions were as follows:

◾ Student: Abubakr Abdullah Al-Zawi
Participation Title: “Early Detection System for Lung Cancer Using Machine Learning Algorithms”

◾ Student: Najm Ahmed Abukhzam
Participation Title: “Study and Examination System”

◾ Students: Abdelsalam Ali Al-Arj / Mohamed Ali Salem
Participation Title: “Al-Zawiya Civil Registry Records Management System”

◾ Student: Montaser Juma Jafara
Participation Title: “Electronic Service Complex”

◾ The students were accompanied at this event by the college’s working team:

Student: Abualqasim Abdullah Al-Zaidi

◾ Additionally, a technical knowledge competition was held targeting students from participating colleges. The competition included a set of questions in programming and information technology. Abubakr Abdullah Al-Zawi from the College of Science and Technology – Al-Zawiya stood out by providing the most accurate answer to the most challenging programming question in the competition, reflecting his high competence and advanced technical skills, earning the admiration and appreciation of all attendees.

◾ At the conclusion of the event, the winning students from the College of Science and Technology – Al-Zawiya were honored, with awards distributed alongside certificates of appreciation. This recognition expressed gratitude for their active and outstanding participation, which embodied the spirit of creativity and ambition that distinguishes the college and its students.
